For gun safe installation:

Remove the black end cap where the cord comes out.  Remove the heating element completely from the outer tube.  The element is thin enough to put through a small hole drilled in the safe without cutting off the plug.  Then simply reassemble the unit by re-inserting the element into the tube inside of the safe and replacing the cap.

Instructions for installing a Moisture King in Upright or Vertical position:
SUSPENDED INSTALLATION

1.  Remove necessary panel, if any.
2.  Make starter holes with an awl inside according to needed position..  Insert screw eyes furnished.
3.  Moisture King  should be suspended by passing mounting wires furnished through the screw eyes and then wrapped around the heater and secured.
4.  Be sure the Moisture King does not interfere with any moving parts.
5.  Place the cord end of the Moisture King toward nearest electric socket.
6.  Have cord emerge through the opening.

CLIP INSTALLATION

1.  Remove necessary panel, if any.
2.  Screw the 2 mounting clips furnished to the inside about 24" apart, and about 6" or 8" from the bottom of the area.
3.  Press the Moisture King into the clips.

 

Clip Installation can be followed for horizontal installation.
