Instructions for installing a Moisture King in Upright or Vertical Pianos  (above)
SUSPENDED INSTALLATION

1.  Remove bottom panel
2.  Make starter holes with an awl inside the case under the key bed.  Insert screw eyes furnished.
3.  Moisture King should be suspended by passing mounting wires furnished through the screw eyes and then wrapped around the heater and secured.
4.  Be sure the Moisture King does not interfere with any moving parts of the piano.
5.  Place the cord end of the Moisture King toward nearest electric socket.
6.  Have cord emerge through the opening above the bottom panel, or out the top near one of the hinges.

CLIP INSTALLATION

1.  Remove bottom panel.
2.  Screw the 2 mounting clips furnished to the bottom panel about 24" apart, and about 6" or 8" from the bottom of the panel.
3.  Press the Moisture King into the clips.

Instructions for installation of Moisture King dehumidifiers in Grand Pianos (below).
Use model #3615, #3625, #4815 or #4825

We strongly recommend that in a "Grand piano installation", you install two Moisture King dehumidifier bars.  Because a grand piano is spread out, and has horizontal strings rather than vertical strings as in an upright type piano, there is no one place to put a dehumidifier to protect the entire piano.

Due to the fact that warm air rises, it is recommended that both Moisture King dehumidifiers be placed under the piano using the clamps supplied.  (See illustration).

Attach one of the Moisture King dehumidifiers to the under-portion of the back of the main case of the piano, and attach the other one so that it proceeds from front, to the rear of the underside of the sound board.  (Attach to the support beams only.  Do not attach to the sound board!!!!!).

The one closest to the main piano case is designed to protect the action, the pin block, and the main components of the piano.  The other one that is placed under the sound board is placed here to protect the strings from rusting and the sound board from being affected by moisture.

Under no circumstances, NEVER NEVER NEVER, place a dehumidifier inside of the action area.  This will cause excessive drying to the pin block, and will cause the piano to not hold its tune as well.

Because warm air rises, the warmth from the dehumidifiers will saturate up through the piano and protect the needed areas.
